As some of news sites have reported, Morgan Spurlock (of Super Size Me fame) will be directing and producing a Simpsons documentary to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the longest running animated show currently on TV. The doc, titled “The Simpsons 20th Anniversary Special in 3-D on Ice” will air on FOX on January 14th.
Today I was cruising Craigslist, and I found this interesting notice:
The Simpsons 20th Anniversary Special
IS NOW CASTING REAL-LIFE SIMPSONS CHARACTERS!
Do you sound exactly like Homer when you say “D’oh!”? Do you look like Sideshow Bob? Do people say you remind them of Moe the Bartender, Krusty the Clown or even the sinister Mr. Burns?
If you are a SIMPSONS super-fan, or look or sound like anyone in Springfield, then this is your chance for an opportunity to appear in The Simpsons 20th Anniversary Special in 3-D on Ice airing in January 2010 on FOX!
Produced and directed by Morgan Spurlock (“Super Size Me,” “30 Days”), the special will look at how the world sees THE SIMPSONS and how the Simpson family has been the world for two decades.
Spurlock, in collaboration with THE SIMPSONS, will be searching for the “real deal” from 10:00 AM-8:00 PM on Saturday, July 25 in San Diego, CA.
So if you’re at Comic-Con and are good at voices, be sure to stop by. Check out the actual Craigslist post for more details.
