Fused Film News: Last Week in Review

The Big Stuff

A better week in the land of film news and some TV, first off, Fused Film has a new Associate Editor, Will Melton, joins the family (read More on him here). Secondly, sorry this post is a little late from us, it has been a hectic weekend and I have been ill. Anyway, as mentioned there was some juicy stories from all around ranging from casting news, to the remake station opening up again. These 3 below were our favorite from the whole week:

Todd McFarlane Updates New Spawn Film?

Todd McFarlane, via his Twitter recently announced that he is currently writing a new Spawn film. He says:

“I’ve officially begun writing the Spawn screenplay. The story has been in my head for 7 or 8 years. Will continue to update. The movie idea is neither a recap or continuation. This movie will mark the second live-action adaptation of this highly influential Image comic. McFarlane is the creator of the Image comic character. He produced the 1997 film that starred Michael Jai White. [Read Full Article Here]

The only official casting announcements so far is Liam Neeson who will be playing John “Hannibal” Smith and The Hangover’s Bradley Cooper, who will be playing Lt. Templeton “Faceman” Peck.
