2010 Los Angeles Film Festival: Conversations with Christopher Nolan, J.J. Abrams, and Edgar Wright

The 2010 Los Angeles Film Festival kicked off this weekend, and MovieViral is covering the fest in partnership with FusedFilm. So far we’ve gotten some fascinating interviews with great filmmakers. On Friday we had a very special screening of Pink Floyd The Wall, for which Christopher Nolan was in attendance. Afterwards, the director discussed the influence of the film on his work, including his latest project Inception. Last night, J.J. Abrams interviewed Edgar Wright on his career and the upcoming Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World.

Both conversations were very enlightening, with a few audience questions at the end as well. Wright’s in particular was the most entertaining, simply because we got to see clips of his past works like Hot Fuzz and Shaun of the Dead. We also got to see a full nine minute segment from Scott Pilgrim, which has the full Chris Evans fight sequence. You can listen to both interviews below, though I have to warn you that the audio on the Nolan recording is poor quality. Also, I started recording the Abrams/Wright interview a few minutes into it.
