Bungie’s Newest Project Has An Easter Egg Too Kris, June 26, 2010June 26, 2010 Bungie has been known to go into viral every once in a while. Halo 3: ODST had a humorous interaction with the superintendent A.I. “Virgil” and recently a site about Bungie Aerospace. To this day nothing much has changed, besides a little latin phrase. Find out more about “per audacia ad astra” after the jump. First off, know this: there’s still no word on what the aerospace project really is, but considerable speculation has linked it to Halo Reach’s Space Combat gameplay and starting a new branch of their company. That “per audacia ad astra” is a bugger though. However, a fan-run blog has made quite a connection. When translated, it says “boldly going into space.” Sound familiar? Well, if your not a trekkie, here’s another quote: Space… the Final Frontier. These are the voyages of the starship Enterprise. Its five-year mission: to explore strange new worlds; to seek out new life and new civilizations; to boldly go where no man has gone before. Yep, Bungie’s masterful easter egg skills are shown once again. Not only is it a reference to Virgil, it also hints to Star Trek’s famous opening quote. Nice one, Bungie, nice one.
