James Cameron talked with MarketSaw recently and gave them some updates on the re-release of Avatar and the two sequels he has planned for the biggest film of all time. Cameron is currently working on the novelization of the Avatar, and is studying South American tribes to get inspiration for the sequels. As for the re-release, there is nine extra minutes of footage, and he talks about what scenes are included in the extended film.

Warner Bros. is working on a trend of live action/CGI hybrid films that star animated characters. We’ve already seen them tap their Hanna Barbera properties Yogi Bear, and now it looks like the studio is using their Looney Tunes asset. Deadline reports Bugs Bunny is next for the studio, as they have hired David Berenbaum (Elf) to write the script.

Want to see more Terminator films? You may have your chance soon, though you won’t see any real people in them. Hannover House, a small film company that has brought us Hounddog and Twelve, is working on a $70 million 3D animated film called Terminator 3000. While no talent is attached yet, there is already some controversy over who owns the animation rights to the film series.
