Trailers Weekly: Case 39, Inside Job, 127 Hours, and Julia’s Eyes

Trailers Weekly is a feature in which we bring you the most popular and talked about trailers of the week. Sharing trailers is a classic viral practice, and trailers are still the most mainstream way for people to learn about movies. This week we have another scary little white girl, a look into the recent financial crisis, James Franco stuck between a rock and a hard place, and a blind women’s locker room.

Case 39 (October 1, 2010)

Renée Zellweger plays a social worker who takes care of a child after her parents seem to be doing horrible things to her. Unfortunately for Zellweger, there were reasons for those horrible things. The movie has been on the back-burner for over a year, but is finally getting released in time for Halloween.

Inside Job (October 8, 2010 Limited)

This documentary by acclaimed documentarian Charles Ferguson (No End In Sight) highlights what really happened during the global financial meltdown of 2008. The film focuses on Wall Street and the causes of the crisis, and is narrated by Matt Damon.

127 Hours (November 5, 2010)

Danny Boyle’s drama stars James Franco as a mountain climber who gets trapped under a boulder and after reflecting on his past, takes desperate measures to survive. The film is based on the true story of climber Aron Ralston, and the trailer introduces the story in an interesting way.

Julia’s Eyes (October 29, 2010 Spain)

This Spanish thriller is produced by Guillermo del Toro, and follows a woman who is trying to investigate what really happened to her blind sister, who supposedly committed suicide. She finds out there is a very sneaky man following her, and hilarity terror ensues.
