We’ve been covering the Mission Icefly/Test Subjects Needed viral campaign despite almost conclusive evidence that it’s just for a new flavor of Wrigley’s 5 gum. The campaign has been been interesting to follow, and knowing that 42 Entertainment is probably behind it intrigues us even more. Now we have some new updates to the campaign, which includes John Locke himself, after the break.
Last week we posted the video from Mission Icefly that showed paper helicopters with lights dropping down on Bonnaroo. These same devices were mailed to people who signed up for the Test Subjects Needed website. Today, the campaign posted a “version 2” of the video that has a little easter egg at the end. Watch the video below to see for yourself.
That’s right, that is a scrambled video of Terry O’Quinn (aka John Locke on LOST) saying something like “we all have a certain”. What does this all mean? We don’t know yet, but an update to the Mission Icefly website might give a clue. At the bottom of the page are a series of letters that look to be an incomplete message. There are too many spaces in between to even try to decipher it, but more letters may be revealed soon.
