TrailersWeekly

Trailers Weekly is a feature in which we bring you the most popular and talked about trailers of the week. Sharing trailers is a classic viral practice, and trailers are still the most mainstream way for people to learn about movies. This week we have trailers for The We and I, The Possession, Maniac, Magic Mike, and Hyde Park on Hudson,. Hit the jump to check them out.

The Possession
Although demons taking a hold of human hosts are a drawn out and tiresome, The Possession possesses quite a few scares that is just enough to make me interested in seeing this movie. Directed by Ole Bornedal’s new film The Possession stars Jeffery Dean Morgan and is produced by Sam Raimi and his Ghost House Pictures production banner. The film is based on a Los Angeles Times article called “Jinx in a Box.”

The We and I
Michael Gondry’s The We and I will be making its debut at the Cannes film festival this year, and just to give a tease of what to expect from Gondry’s newest directorial effort, a trailer as popped up online. The film centers on a group of kids that travel back into the past and stumble upon a device that allows its user to stay younger.

Maniac
You may think you know Elijah Wood’s career, but you don’t. Wood is distancing himself from the happy adventurous hobbit that we all know and love to become a deranged serial killer who cuts off the scalp of his victims and uses those scalps as a part of the mannequins he creates. If you have a weak stomach, I suggest you don’t watch this trailer, as there is nudity, brutal scenes of violence, and heavy drug use.

Magic Mike
The last time we saw Channing Tatum in a Magic Mike trailer, we saw that he was a male stripper wanting to branch out to become a furniture designer. Now the newest trailer as Tatum and his stripping cohorts, doing what they do best; taking off their clothes.

Hyde Park on Hudson
The first trailer for Hyde Park on Hudson gives us an indication that it is the American version of The King’s Speech. Light political story that has a lot of dry humor.
