“The Bourne Legacy” Facebook App Recruits You For Operation Intel Michael Lee, July 16, 2012July 16, 2012 Universal Pictures has updated the viral campaign for The Bourne Legacy. The app called Operation Intel, creates a video and puts you in picture and in the middle of the program that created the people like Aaron Cross and Jason Bourne. Hit the jump to find out more. Upon opening the Facebook Page for Operation Intel, you will be asked if you want to be accepted into the program. Depending on your answer – in this case you must answer yes – you will be allowed to proceed further into the program. And if you are not familiar with virals that inserts your Facebook info into one of the trailers from the film, then you will be caught by surprised. The video will show you, your known associates (your friends), hometown, age, and a couple of other things, and uses the same fragmented scrolling that was seen in the first trailer. You will also be able to recast your video with brand new content. Unfortunately, I am unable to upload the video that was used. But below are a couple of screen grabs from the video, which uses portions of the first trailer and integrates it with some of your info and photos. Of course none of this will be shared with the public, but you can share it with your friends on Facebook, Twitter, etc. So try it out, and see why accepting the program can be dangerous. The Bourne Legacy opens in theaters on August 10th. Viral Marketing Operation IntelThe Bourne LegacyUniversal Pictures
