RIDES.tv is a new transmedia platform from Fourth Wall Studios that creates interactive stories stretching across online video, phone calls, text messages, email, and social media. Their latest in their Dark Wall horror series is called 6:14, which you can watch here. Watch the trailer and learn more after the break.
Have you ever woken up with a sense of déjà vu? The tension. The suspense. The terror of reliving the same waking nightmare over and over and over again. Will you ever escape?
“6:14” is directed by Toby Wilkins (Splinter, The Grudge 3) and stars Ethan Embry (Brotherhood, Eagle Eye, Vacancy, Kidney Thieves, Disturbing Behavior) and Michael Ironside (Justified, X-Men: First Class, The Butcher, Masters of Horror, V, Scanners)
I went ahead and watched this myself, and I have to say I was rather impressed. A great example of how the film is interactive is when Embry’s character gets a phone call near the beginning. Your phone rings as well and the person on the other side (Ironside) speaks to you over the phone, not on screen. You do have the choice to opt out of the interactive features, but where’s the fun in that?
