Trailers Weekly is a feature in which we bring you the most popular and talked about trailers of the week. Sharing trailers is a classic viral practice, and trailers are still the most mainstream way for people to learn about movies. This week provided us with some very exciting trailers. This week the trailers for Epic, Bad Kids Go To Hell, Jack The Giant Slayer, I Give It A Year, and Snitch. Hit the jump for more..
Epic
The second trailer for 20 Century Fox’s animated fil Epic has gone online. The film centers on a young girl who gets shrunken down to the size of forest dwelling fairies and must stop an evil force bent on tearing it all down. Amanda Seyfried and Josh Huchterson lend their voices. Epic opens in theaters on May 24, 2012.
Bad Kids Go To Hell
Think of a sinister version of John Hughes’ THe Breakfast Club make Judd Nelson the head school master and you got Bad Kids Go To Hell. Actually there is no other way to describe this indie horror flick. Which actually looks like a great homage to the Hughes’ film. Bad Kids Go To Hell opens in limited theaters on December 7th.
Jack The Giant Slayer
Jack The Giant Slayer is one of the few films that received such a harsh early review, that the studio (WB) was forced to push the film back to next year. The film is Bryan Singer’s twist on the fantasy adventure based on Jack and the Beanstalk. The film stars Nicholas Hoult (X-Men: First Class) and Ewan McGreagor. Jack The Giant Slayer opens in theaters on March 1, 2013.
I Give It A Year
I try to sneak an indie flick here and there in various editions of Trailers Weekly, and I think I Give It A Year fits the bill. The romance flick stars Rose Bryne and Rafe Spall (Prometheus) as two couples as they try to navigate through the ups and downs of the first year of marriage. No release date has been set.
Snitch
Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson hasn’t played the goody too shoes in a while, which is why he is getting top billing in Snitch. Johnson plays as a father so determined to save his son from serving ten years in jail, he goes undercover as a drug runner for a dangerous drug kingpin. If he doesn’t bring the kingpin in before his son’s sentence is delivered it will be too late. Snitch opens in theaters on February 22nd, 2013.
