Trailers Weekly is a feature in which we bring you the most popular and talked about trailers of the week. Sharing trailers is a classic viral practice, and trailers are still the most mainstream way for people to learn about movies. Jack The Giant Slayer
This movie isn’t doing itself any favors when it comes to drawing in box office sales. The visuals look dated, the dialogue is soulless, and the whole fairy tale twist thing has worn out its welcome. Nicholas Hoult, Eleanor Tomlinson, plus Ewan McGregor, Stanley Tucci, Bill Nighy, Warwick Davis and Ian McShane. Jack The Giant Slayer opens March 1.
Oblivion
Joseph Kosinski‘s second directorial effort looks more like “what if” Wall-e was human. There will be menial missions, dark secrets, and lots of great visuals. This film does have promise and the potential to be much better than Kosinski’s directorial debut. Starring Tom Cruise, Morgan Freeman, and Olga Kurylenko opens in theaters on April 19.
Trance
Danny Boyle took a cinematic break of sorts to help direct the opening ceremonies for the 2012 Summer Olympic Games in London. But before he went off, he directed a psychological heist thriller called Trance. The film centers on an art thief (James McAvoy) who undergoes hypnosis by a hypnotherapist (Rosiao Dawson) when a sleazy art collect (Vincent Cassel) wants to claim what was his.
Fast & Furious 6
It feels like only a week, and we already are getting a new trailer for the Fast and Furious 6. Yes it has reached six installments and now there are talks of a seventh one appearing with Jason Statham appearing as the villain. This new trailer is more kid friendly since the MPAA is the one who approved its release, but it still packs the same punch as before. Fast & Furious 6 opens in theaters on May 24.
Two Mothers
Robin Wright and Naomi Watts star in this Anne Fontine-directed drama about two mothers who fall in love with each other’s sons. The sons are played by Xavier Samuel and James Frecheville. The film premiered at the Sundance film festival earlier this year, but has no official release date.
