Trailers Weekly: “Berberian Sound Studio”, “V/H/S/ 2”, “Planes”, “Last Vegas”, “Pacific Rim”

TrailersWeekly

Trailers Weekly is a feature in which we bring you the most popular and talked about trailers of the week. Sharing trailers is a classic viral practice, and trailers are still the most mainstream way for people to learn about movies. This week we have trailers for Berberian Sound Studio, V/H/S/ 2, Planes, Last Vegas, and Pacific Rim. Hit the jump to see them all.

Berberian Sound Studio
Interestingly enough, this is the first time that Berberian Sound Studio has found it’s way to American shores. The UK horror film starring Toby Jones will be distributed through the IFC Midnight name, has a 70s vintage feel to it because of the sound studio technology and the fashion.

V/H/S/ 2
The sequel to the horror flick that made its way into Sundance a few years back made yet another terrifying debut to Sundance this year. V/H/S/ 2 is another bloody entry into the V/H/S/ franchise, and as it’s red-band tag suggests, it will be entertaingly violent. The film will follow the same segmented format as its predecessor.

Planes
Disney’s Planes, based on the world above the land of Cars, went from a direct video to a full length feature film. One of the biggest changes to happen since then was that John Cyer dropped out and Dane Cook jumped in to voice the lead role of a crop duster with big dreams. Planes opens in theaters on August 9th.

Last Vegas
When hearing the name Last Vegas, think older gentleman in their own Hangover-esque night. Michael Douglas, Morgan Freeman, Kevin Kline and Robert De Niro star in a film about a bachelor who goes out with three of his friends for one last night on the town before he settles down with a girl half his age.

Pacific Rim
This could be the last possible trailer for Pacific Rim before it opens in theaters on July 12. But honestly don’t be surprised to see one more marketing push to get everyone into the theaters to watch this one. As if it needed any more of a push, the robots, or Jaegers as they are called in the film, pretty much sell themselves. The film is directed by Guillermo Del Toro.
