District 9, based on the short “Alive in Joburg”, is about how an extraterrestrial race forced to live in slum-like conditions on Earth suddenly find a kindred spirit in a government agent (Wikus) that is exposed to their biotechnology.

  5. I think he is turning into an alien, as suspected. Because if you remember, non-human guns only work with non-human DNA. So since Wikus can fire that, things don’t look too good for him.
