We Are ODST – New Halo Game Viral Iain Welford, September 8, 2009September 8, 2009 Do you love bees? This is the question Bungie wanted to know the answer too when they kicked off their viral campaign for Halo 3. Headed by one of our favourite advertising groups, 42 entertainment, the Halo 3 campaign was one of the most successful game virals ever. Well, It looks like Bungie is at it again with Halo: ODST. First thing to do is check out this BAD ASS live action trailer entitled We Are ODST: The live action trailer is directed by Rupert Sanders, who according to first showing, is set to direct Leonardo Dicaprio in his next film. This director could be one to watch on the strength of this trailer, and we all know what happened to Neill Blomkamp, director of the short films created for Halo 3. Once you’ve watched the trailer, head on over to the ODST main page where you will be able to view interviews with 3 of the Halo world characters, Dutch, Romeo and Mickey. As you watch the trailers you will find certain points of the interview that require authorisation codes. These auth codes will get you access to the “classified” parts of the interviews and also, a 4th code will reward you with some wallpapers for your system. I’ve found the codes already, but I don’t want to spoil the fun for you. This is made me even more excited about the game, and surely, based on the great live action clips by Blomkamp and Sanders, they NEED to make a Halo Movie! Are you looking forward to the game? Do you think a live action film will be a good thing? Comment below. Viral Marketing Halo

Same old, same old. This could have been set in Nazi Germany or in the future. How boring can you get? There’s no new way to blow people up and shoot them. Aren’t we all getting a little jaded by all this repetitive violence? Isn’t it time for something new and exciting? Something more dramatic and empowering than such passe crap?
I know waht your saying Arthur, and I still feel that the last original FPS was Half Life, but I still love blowing stuff up and shooting some aliens! We’ll need to wait for the next original game, but until that comes, this will be a good filler.
arthur please…. im tired of bad quality action movies where heroes do the dumbest stunts and the audience finds it awesome wow the things they do on screen. halo on the other hand is military sci fi and have so far kept it real. what did you expect flowers n kisses but i know what you mean. halo is more than violence its sheer human will and bravery against certain extermination. and the quality of the stories in the haloverse is rare in sci fi nowadays im happy they didnt ruin the franchise over money n crappy storytelling
to call this crap is an insult if your sick of violence why r u watching this? oh ya because youre entitled to an opinion. its like violence doesnt solve anything lol it was necessary throughout history and will continue to be true. hitler would have loved to negotiate. no matter how peaceful youre intentions somebody will always want to fight its inevitable. ever try calming down some rufian in a bar? they dont need to be drunk believe me some people live for it
