George Lopez Challenges Usher To NBA Playoffs Bet Dan Koelsch, April 13, 2010April 13, 2010 Sure, the biggest news lately regarding George Lopez is how his TBS show, Lopez Tonight, will be following Conan O’Brien later this year (and couldn’t be happier), but Lopez has been trying other ways to gain attention recently as well. The comedian recently challenged R&B singer Usher to a competition on his show that involves the NBA playoffs and Facebook. Check out the details after the jump. Usher is a part owner of the Cleveland Cavaliers, and Lopez is a lifetime Lakers fan. Since the two teams are rivals, Lopez made a friendly wager to Usher. Check it out in the video below. Here’s the rules according to the Lopez Tonight website. If the Cleveland Cavaliers get further in the NBA playoffs than the Los Angeles Lakers, George has to do an entire monologue dressed as the Cavaliers mascot! BUT if the Lakers go further than the Cavaliers, Usher will put a Lakers jersey on his Madame Tussauds wax figure for one day. Usher also has to sing “I Love L.A.” on Lopez Tonight if he loses. Taking a page from the Late Night fiasco, Lopez has dubbed this ‘Team George vs. Team Usher’ even though he’s used ‘I’m With Loco’ since the news about Conan. As you can see in the video, there are Facebook pages for each team, so click on the logos below to become a fan of Team Usher if you want the Cavs to do better in the playoffs, or join Team George if you want the Lakers to go farther. Which team do you like better? Personally, I’m a huge Lakers fan rooting for Orlando to upset Cleveland.
