GKNOVA6: Third Transmission Goes Live, More Codes

The third transmission has been posted on GKNOVA6.com. The newest update still hasn’t shed a light on what game this is for, however it has brought us some new codes to crack. After the jump, watch the video and see what has been uncovered thus far.

Here is what was said in the video, provided by CoDZ.

They used the earths magentic field X the information was gathered and transmitted.

CoDZ user FireStarFish80 pointed out where the quotes were from.

That first line is a line for part two of the kryptos in Langley (They used the earths magentic field X the information was gathered and transmitted.)

The Second line is a quote from two time nobel prize winner Marie Curie (Wiki page on her, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marie_Curie)

Lastly, Outside of consciousness there lies the cold and alien world of actual things, is a quote by Heinrich Hertz (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heinrich_Hertz)

UPDATE 6:24PM: So people have been working on the updates all day, and so far this is what they gathered.

This image was discovered by MrToasty while examining the audio of the newest transmission. So far it’s lead to Freedom7.com – but the legitimacy of that site is being question (due to the WhoIs information, which reveals the website was registered in 1997). In addition, the 5 + 5 = 10 message may be referring to 5/5/2010, which is when Alan Shepard became the first man in space.

This update still leads us to ponder the golden question. What game is this for?! My message to the marketing team behind this game is simple: if you wait to long to reveal what you’re marketing, people lose interest. Not only that, but if what you’re marketing IS NOT what they expected it to be, the campaign completely backfires (I’m talking to you, “New Coke“). So keep that in mind.

  2. Nobody thought of making an SSTV scan to the whole transmision, like in the Portal 2 ARG, just in case?

    There is a part of the 3 transsmisions which sound awfully similar to SSTV messages…

    So there is an REM song that asks “What’s the frequency Kenneth?”

    Is there a connection?

  7. Kenneth what’s the frequency? Is the line of an unknown assailant who attacked Dan Rather in 1986. I’ve been mulling over that phrase, 5+5=10 and freedom=7 for the past few days.

    ~Dan Rather was the reporter who covered the assassination of President Kennedy, who was the president during the Cuban missile crisis. And what was the place holder picture during the 2nd transmission. Rather also consists of 5 letters.

    ~Freedom 7, the rocket that launched Commander Alan Shepard into space was part of the Mercury program. Mercury also is an element, elements 92 and 94 were part of the answer to get the word USENETDRAGONSBREATH. Coincidentally both Freedom and Mercury have 7 letters in them.

    I’m sure that it’s nothing, but maybe, just maybe it means something.
