Salt: Day X Exists Game Is Now Live Dan Koelsch, May 17, 2010May 17, 2010 Last month we told you about the Day X Exists website for the action spy movie Salt starring Angelina Jolie. Now the game within the site has officially launched, and you have a chance to do what every guy dreams: catch Angelina Jolie. Check out the details after the break. The episodic game consists of weekly tasks and videos that unveil the web exclusive story over a nine week period. Each week you watch a video and participate in a mission. If you win, you get more of the story through hidden codes in videos and other content. There’s even a leaderboard to track how well you are doing. Fortunately, when a new game is introduced every Tuesday, you can still play even if it’s your first visit, since the site offers the chance to catch up . The story so far goes as such. You are part of the “Day X Taskforce”, assigned to bring in fellow agent Evelyn Salt (Jolie). Salt is suspected of being involved in ‘Day X’, some sort of expected terrorist plot involving sleeper agents that occurs on July 23rd (the day of the film’s theatrical release). However, Salt has chosen you to help her clear her name. The game uses Facebook Connect (what game doesn’t anymore?) to make it more personal, which is aided by the videos’ first person point of view. Check out the game yourself, it’s pretty fun and immersive. The whole thing is on that one website, so it shouldn’t be hard to follow. Did you find the hidden codes in the first mission? Let us know in the comments. Below is the trailer for the game. Salt, starring Angelina Jolie and Liev Schreiber, is directed by Phillip Noyce (Clear and Present Danger, The Saint) and written by Kurt Wimmer (The Thomas Crown Affair, Law Abiding Citizen) and Brian Helgeland (Conspiracy Theory, Robin Hood). Columbia Pictures releases the film in theaters on July 23rd. Viral Marketing Angelina JolieDay X ExistsSalt

From another site:Screening Madness @ 07/06/2010 at 1:08 pmWe had 3 screenings last night, two at the same time and each theatre held 500 people. Both were filled to capacity and there were still at least 150 people left to wait for the last screening with the additional 200+ that were ticketed for that particular screening; which I sat through again! I started my screening at 7:45pm and didn't leave the theatre until after midnight!I don't know what I was truly expecting but what I saw on the screen was NOT it! Angelina took a movie that was clearly written for a man and OWNED it!!!! From the very moment she is 'outed' the movie kicks into 190mph and does NOT slow down nor stops and the ending is unexpected! For those of you who have read the script…just put it away!!!! You will see what you read but OMG, there is soooo much more! The plot twists are absolutely jaw dropping. Phillip Noyce manages to tell multi-faceted story, each facet of the story is played with the same level of intensity without confusing you. The genius of the story telling is that you don't realize this until Noyce wants you to. Angelina proves that action at this high level is NOT a boys club anymore, this girl truly works her scenes and her fight scenes are so exciting, you can't take your eyes off of her, she's gorgeous AND lethal. girlie takes 'em down! ((which I personally loved.) The fight style was believable as was the story. You didn't feel like 'Oh this could never happen.'. Angelina's character demands your respect, fear and at times sympathy. Evelyn moves through her emotions uncomfortably as she is just not use to dealing with certain aspects that are going on close to her and Angie's ability to emote and portray this causes YOU the audience to have a few very uncomfortable moments. Your mind is engaged from the moment she she steps on screen until the last credits role…(sit through the credits). You are not interested in anything else because a lot of questions from the Trailer are answered in the first 25 minutes and then the REAL riddles begin and Noyce weaves in and out of what you think you know and what is really going on so smoothly that you really don't see the jolts coming until they are flying at you at a 3D rate of fire. The pace moves and your heart beats with it. In some parts it is a true nail biting, edge of your seat experience while in others it is calm and allows your analytical skills to take over and just when you think you know what is going on….you realize that you don'tFor keeping my excitement level high and ongoing, I give SALT an A+For keeping my mind engaged and consatntly deducing fact from fiction I give sale Two thumbs up and an A++If you like/ love/ enjoy Angelina Jolie in action then YES this is a MUST see.If you enjoy action, intrigue and fast pace, then this will NOT let you down and I would say add it to your summer list. It may not be a must for you but it is definitely worth the $10.
