Pretend To Be Pixar With The Toy Story Comic Creator

Dan Koelsch, May 18, 2010May 18, 2010

Maybe this contest is more for our nonexistent 8-12 year old demographic, but I think anyone with some time to kill, a little creative abilities, and who is young at heart can enjoy this. Oh yeah, and there’s a chance to win a trip to Disney World. To promote the June 18th release of Pixar’s Toy Story 3, Disney Online is offering you the chance to go to the Happiest Place on Earth for creating your very own Toy Story comic book. Check out the details after the jump.

The Toy Story Comic Creator on Disney.com let’s you take control of the Toy Story characters to make your own story. You choose a layout for your comic book, then just add backgrounds, characters, actions, and text, and presto, you have yourself a comic book that you can share. You can also check out what other people have made to get some inspiration. I was pretty impressed with the amount of content you have to work with, as well as the flexibility. It’s actually pretty fun. Check out the one page I made below.

When you submit your entry into the contest, you have the chance to win a couple cool prizes. The Grand Prize is a 5 Day/4 Night trip to Disney World. First prize is an iPod Touch (this is where Disney’s relationship with Apple comes in handy), and 10 runner-ups get a Toy Story Prize Pack that includes the first two movies on DVD and Blu-ray, among other things. Not too shabby. As always, check the website for official rules and details, and make sure you submit your creation before the May 31st deadline. If you make one, link us to it!
