One thing I’ve noticed is they all seem both creepy and catchy. Following that line of mystery, Verizon Wireless has launched a new, so far secret, campaign for the upcoming release of the Droid X. A newly released advertisement has sent us into a hunt to find these super-smart smartphones. More after the jump.Verizon Wireless released a commercial on their YouTube account for the upcoming Droid X, which has remained anything but secret. Still, Verizon has opted to launch a viral campaign to advertise this new product. Take a look at the commercial below.It was discovered that in the commercial a Twitter account (@DroidLanding) can be seen in the reflection. The Twitter accounts description lets us know what it’s all about.The next generation of does is coming soon, but you might get yours before that. Droid X phones are hidden across the country. Follow us for clues.The first tweet of this account appeared moments after I began writing this article, it reads:REPORT: Droid X units have escaped! THe site you mention to enter email address DOES NOT WORK- when you attempt to do it – says “Firefox can’t establish a connection to the server at email.vzwshop.com.” I’ve attempted this on different days with the same result.
You should try it on another browser, like Chrome. I used Safari and it worked. If that doesn’t work they’re probably having some problems.
