It’s been three weeks since we’ve had any progress in the Super 8 viral campaign, and while it’s no Rocket Poppeteers website, we do have an update. Get the scoop after the break.
You should remember that when we found the first viral website for Super 8, Scariest Thing I Ever Saw, the remote computer had a print command window. When you selected to print, it simply printed out a page with the following text:
Stop posting publicly. I can answer your questions.
I have proof.

Now, however, something different prints out. Take a look below.

There are so many questions. Who is this mysterious person who keeps sending us messages? What is this thing that “reactivated”? What does the computer owner (presumably Dan Morris) need to keep hidden? The photo included looks to be a dark room (maybe a basement?) with an image projected on the wall. That projected image looks to be a frame from the Super 8 teaser, which originally spelled out the name of the viral site. The letters we can see here are “VER”. There’s also a box on the side that has a post-it with the word “Sold” on it. The box also has the zip code “25801”, which is in West Virginia. Check out Unfiction for more analysis and photo editing.
