Creators of “Auto-Tune The News” Get a TV Pilot

Dan Koelsch, August 15, 2010

The Gregory Brothers are one of my favorite acts on YouTube, and now they are finally getting their mainstream calling. The group, consisting of brothers Evan, Andrew, Michael, and Evan’s wife Sarah, often auto-tune subjects in viral videos to make full songs. They are also known for their self-explanatory “Auto-Tune The News” series. Comedy Central has picked up a pilot which will have the group doing much of the same, as well as feature behind the scenes clips. Check out a few of the group’s recent videos after the break, including the popular “Double Rainbow” and “Bed Intruder” songs.

As Mashable mentions, The Gregory Brothers are joining the bevy of Internet talent breaching out into TV. We’ve already seen The Onion and the Twitter account “Shit My Dad Says” get television shows. Who do you think should be next?
