It Starts With The Flu, It Ends With… Scott Caldwell, September 7, 2010September 8, 2010 One of the sites we’ve followed, yet never mentioned (until a week ago) is an odd site known as “It Starts With The Flu“. A site utilizing the all too familiar countdown method, with a date that ends, today. So, if you haven’t already figured out what happens at the end of the timer, and you are ready to face the truth, then look no further than MovieViral. Keep reading for the end! NOTHING! What the @#$%!!!! You put up a timer site, you grab recognition, and you fail to commit? Congrats on nothing but a reverse timer. I’m not really sure what this was going to accomplish, and I’ve reached out to site owner for some input, so we shall see what happens. I’m guessing the same as the countdown. NOTHING!! As a site that loves this type of material, I am disappointed. You should be ashamed of yourself! ASHAMED! Stay tuned to MovieViral for any input the owner of this site wishes to give, which many have tried, and many are ignored. Maybe the negative timer means we all get better? New Video For “They’re Here” Still Shows Very Little September 9, 2010We still have just over a month until we understand what the film They’re Here is really all about. Sure, it’s pretty much certain that it’s about aliens and possibly an invasion (though the phrase “make contact” comes up), but we know nothing about the production itself, including who is… Read More
“Game Of Thrones” Interactive Map Puts All Other Interactive Maps To Shame April 24, 2014Part of what fascinates us with Hunger Games, The Hobbit, and other fictionalized nations, is the idea that they are so massive in size that they are not only uncharted, but they could possibly open the doors to new adventures. Now with the power of the internet at our hands,… Read More

“The Flu” has an intubation period of 3 days, After those 3 days you are less likely to pass it on, and start recovering. So i’m guessing after 3 days, something might happen on the site.
When someone puts a timer on a site, normally people expect something to happen when that timer hits zero, not not when the timer hits -3 days -1 hours and -5 minutes.
The giveaway that this was an amateur site was the fact that the timer was based on your own computer time. No professional, or even experienced amateur, would make a mistake that stupid.(Ideally, the script would specify the gmt offset for the timer to count to, and still rely on the client for synchronising)Also, saying “well it will probably update later today” is really, really, REALLY stupid since the site has been up since March 2009. There has been plenty of time to finish the site, and plenty of time to perfect the changeover.
Whatever Lovecraftian force or entity thats controlling this from beyond the veil of our consciousness is obviously taking its time. Madness will grow inside one person, and spread to the entire population.
Since they raised expectations without delivering, I’m gonna go ahead and do a little self-promotion for a related project I worked on and humbly suggest you check out http://thecolony.discovery.com/ to get your Flu Pandemic ya ya’s out instead.😉
