A site utilizing the all too familiar countdown method, with a date that ends, today. What the @#$%!!!! You put up a timer site, you grab recognition, and you fail to commit? Congrats on nothing but a reverse timer. I’m not really sure what this was going to accomplish, and I’ve reached out to site owner for some input, so we shall see what happens. I’m guessing the same as the countdown. NOTHING!! “The Flu” has an intubation period of 3 days, After those 3 days you are less likely to pass it on, and start recovering. So i’m guessing after 3 days, something might happen on the site.
When someone puts a timer on a site, normally people expect something to happen when that timer hits zero, not not when the timer hits -3 days -1 hours and -5 minutes.
The giveaway that this was an amateur site was the fact that the timer was based on your own computer time. No professional, or even experienced amateur, would make a mistake that stupid.(Ideally, the script would specify the gmt offset for the timer to count to, and still rely on the client for synchronising)Also, saying “well it will probably update later today” is really, really, REALLY stupid since the site has been up since March 2009. There has been plenty of time to finish the site, and plenty of time to perfect the changeover.
Whatever Lovecraftian force or entity thats controlling this from beyond the veil of our consciousness is obviously taking its time. Madness will grow inside one person, and spread to the entire population.
