Let Me In Wraps Up Viral Campaign With Behind the Scenes Footage and a Blast From The Past Dan Koelsch, September 11, 2010September 11, 2010 We have one more viral reveal for Overture’s Let Me In, and fortunately it’s not as difficult to get to. If you type in one of the posters’ taglines, “Innocence Dies, Abby Doesn’t”, as a URL, you get a behind-the-scenes clip hosted on the site’s Facebook app. MovieViral has also received a package that contains some objects featured in the film. See what they are in the photo after the break. Overture’s Let Me In is a remake of the 2008 hit Swedish film Let the Right One In. Let Me In is directed and written by Matt Reeves, and stars Kodi Smit-McPhee as Owen, a troubled boy who befriends a new girl in town, Abby (played by Chloe Moretz). However, Abby isn’t really a girl, she’s a vampire, and both their worlds come tumbling down. The film is set in the 1980s, so the props are meant to be iconic representations of that era. How are these particular objects used in the film? Owen’s favorite candy is Now and Later. There’s a scene (which was screened at Comic-Con), in which he offers her a piece, and it leads to an awkward moment. I’m not sure how the Romeo & Juliet book or the Rubik’s Cube come into play, but when we review the film, I’ll throw it in there. Based on my sources, this looks to be the end of the Let Me In viral campaign, but of course, if there is anything else, we’ll bring it to you. Let Me In opens nationwide on October 1st.
