Viral Video Round Up: Boston Movie, 127 Hours, Robocop, Jimmy Kimmel, Tron Lebowski, and More

The Internet is full of videos related to movies, whether they be fan made, studio made, or somewhere inbetween. We regularly bring you the best, most interesting, or just plain weirdest, and today we do it again. Check out the latest viral videos after the break.

Have you ever noticed the amount of gritty Oscar-bait films set in Boston? The guys over at Improv Asylum have, and they’ve created a fake trailer for The Oscar Winning Boston Movie, which mashes up elements of The Departed, The Town, and more. [via /Film]

Funny or Die has a few funny videos this week. First we have Scott Gairdner (who has done some of my favorite internet videos) as Jesse Eisenberg auditioning for 127 Hours.

Next from the FOD team, we have Robocop himself, Peter Weller, throwing his support towards the effort to get a Robocop statue built in Detroit.

The last video we’ll feature from FOD is “Crocodile Tears” starring Take Me Home Tonight‘s Topher Grace and Dan Fogler (obviously a coy way to promote the film).

There are some other good videos from Funny or Die recently, including Mike Tyson talking about the Oscars, Owen Wilson talking about pie, and The Farrelly Brothers’ first tweet.

Jimmy Kimmel recently did a skit for his late night show called “Hottie Body Hump Club”, which was a workout video lead by Kimmel himself that used humping random things as the primary exercise. It caught wildfire and soared to over 1.5 million views, most likely due to the surprisingly massive amounts of female celebrities featured in video, including Scarlett Johansson, Sofia Vergara, Jessica Alba, Lindsay Lohan, and more. Jessica Biel easily gives my favorite performance.

Back in December we featured a mash-up of TRON: Legacy and The Big Lebowski from Barely Political, which seemed inevitable since Jeff Bridges looked to be channeling The Dude in his performance for the TRON sequel. Now we have what I think is an even better mash-up of the movies from College Humor, this time using the story of The Big Lebowski, and just having it set on the Grid.

Be sure to check out the humor site for other recent videos including their new Star Wars-inspired series Troopers, as well as all the moments during the Oscars where co-host James Franco clearly looked like he was high.

Christopher Nolan is my favorite director, and his Oscar nomination snub this year for Inception made me upset. If you’re like me, then you’ll love this tribute to the director, titled “Nolanography”. [via HighDefinite]
