Parks and Recreation Reveals An ‘Awesomesauce’ Viral Website Alex Gerage, April 16, 2011April 16, 2011 After a several week hiatus, Parks and Recreation returned to NBC this past Thursday, and it was a doozy. One of the best episodes of the series, “Andy and April’s Fancy Party” centered on a pretty big announcement involving two of the characters. In typical NBC fashion, the show now has a new viral website to its name that effectively ties in with the events in the episode. I have deliberately kept from spoiling what happens for those that have not seen it (and if you have not, go watch it immediately), but for those that have and want to see what this latest viral is all about, hit the jump.Immediately after the latest Parks and Recreation episode showed Andy and April’s impromptu wedding ceremony, NBC directed viewers to check out their official wedding website, awesomesaucewedding.com. Similar to the viral site The Office released to celebrate Andy and Angela’s impending nuptials, Andy and April’s wedding page offers pictures from the ceremony, advice for the couple from Pawnee’s finest, and a guestbook where you can offer congratulations if you desire. The website is obviously of Andy Dwyer’s doing, and his comments throughout the site are so pitch perfect for the character that you will definitely want to check it out.You can catch Parks and Recreation Thursday nights at 9:30/8:30c on NBC.
