Premium movie channel EPIX is counting down to its 48-hour marathon dedicated to Captain Kirk himself, William Shatner. Shatner-Palooza kicks off July 21th with the premiere of Shatner’s documentary, The Captains, in which he interviews every actor to portray a starship or space station captain in a Star Trek series or movie. As part of the countdown, EPIX is letting fans take part in what they hope will be the longest Khan yell ever! Details after the jump!
You should remember the classic scene from Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, when Khan (a genetically engineered superhuman that Captain Kirk exiled to Ceti Alpha IV) traps Kirk, several members of his crew and some scientists beneath the surface of the planet Regula I. Kirk becomes enraged and the following takes place:
Now you have the chance to take part in that iconic scene by uploading a video of yourself yelling “Khaaaann!” to the EPIX “Long Khan” website! Once you’re done, you will receive a link to your video. Be sure to share it with your friends to get them involved! The more you share, the longer the final video will be!
