Argentinean “Back to the Future” Commercial Hits the Web Michael Lee, August 25, 2011August 25, 2011 Well this is an interesting story that has popped up. Movies.com has just found some viral video for Back to the Future. In the beginning we weren’t sure what this video was, but later found out that it was for a commercial. But what we don’t what this video is advertising. Shot as a found footage piece the ad has the time-traveling DeLorean blasting from the past or future down an Argentinean street and straight into an open door-convenient store. From out the smoke a door opens and Doc Brown emerges excited to discover that he has successfully arrived at the year 2011. Since my Spanish is a little rusty, I tried to translate all the comments to figure out what this ad is for, but to no avail. As proof that this isn’t for a Back to the Future 4, here is behind the scenes footage of the commercial shoot.UPDATE #1: to a couple of comments and further research, the commercial is for a a home appliance retail chain called Garbarino. (yeah I should of known SINCE THE SIGN WAS RIGHT THERE!). The ad is the just a teaser for a massive campaign made by the home appliance chain. Viral Videos Back to the futureDeLoreanDoc Brown

Hi MV! This has been in Argentinean news for a while, there was a lot of press when Christopher Lloyd showed up to film. It’s supposed to be a teaser of a massive campaign made by an important home appliances retail chain here (in Argentina, the retail chain is called Garbarino). Many people ran to the stores and took photos of the DeLorean, it apparently has the BTTF 2 skate inside!
