“All That” Reunion Promises Secrets and Surprises Alex Gerage, September 26, 2011 All That, like many Nickelodeon shows from the 1990’s, has developed an almost cult-like, underground appreciation in the years since it left the silver screen. The sketch comedy show, referred to by many as an “SNL for kids,” was the launching pad for recognizable names in comedy today like Kenan Thompson and Amanda Bynes. Now, the Comikaze Expo, also known as the Los Angeles Comic-Con, has announced that several members of the cast will come together for the first time ever to discuss their experiences on the show and to interact with fans. Find out more details after the jump. Check out a portion of the press release below for further details on the All That reunion at the Comikaze Expo in Los Angeles: Los Angeles, Calif., (September 2011) – Comikaze Expo, the largest multimedia pop culture, comic book, horror, anime and gaming convention in California, aka the Los Angeles Comic-Con, has announced appearances by the hilarious cast of Nickelodeon’s award-winning sketch comedy series, All That. This reunion extravaganza takes place November 5, 2011 at the Los Angeles Convention Center and features appearances by Kel Mitchell, Nick Cannon, Lisa Foiles, Jack DeSena, Alisa Reyea, Katrina Johnson, Mark Saul, Leon Frierson, Angelique Bates, Giovonnie Samuels, Chelsea Brummet and Bryan Hearne. All That rocked the world every Saturday night on Nickelodeon’s SNICK for 10 years. While teaching kids the intricacies of sketch comedy and burp jokes, the iconic show also launched the careers of Kenan Thompson, Kel Mitchell, and Amanda Bynes, as well as everyone’s favorite cast member: The Big Ear of Corn. An All That panel discussion and autograph signing offers attendees the chance to find out if Kiki ever got off “Kiki’s Island,” and ask why “Repairman” did his own echo or if that was real sugar and coffee in “Sugar and Coffee.” Comikaze Expo is thrilled to present the cast of the most successful kid’s sketch comedy show of all time, and the show’s stars share the same sentiments. “I am excited to be a part of Comikaze Expo and get a chance to see our loyal and true fans alongside my family from All That!” said Alisa Reyes, All That Seasons 1-3.” It’s an honor and pleasure to be involved with this grand event!” Lisa Foiles, All That Seasons 7-10, said, “Not only do I get to see my All That pals again after all these years, I get to see them at an awesome comic expo? So I can have a reunion AND geek out?! Comikaze, get ready for a party!” Sounds like a pretty exciting event for die hard All That fans, and one that might not be coming around again. Just reading the press release brings back childhood memories. I think that sudden feeling of nostalgia that many individuals who grew up with the show will have will help generate quite a bit of buzz for this reunion, at least in the Los Angeles area.
