Trailers Weekly: “I Am Not A Hipster,” “Iron Sky,” “Break,” “The Hunter” and “Mirror, Mirror” Michael Lee, January 28, 2012December 27, 2012 Trailers Weekly is a feature in which we bring you the most popular and talked about trailers of the week. Sharing trailers is a classic viral practice, and trailers are still the most mainstream way for people to learn about movies. This week we saw one trailer coming from the Sundance Film Festival, titled I Am Not A Hipster. We also saw new trailers for Iron Sky and Mirror, Mirror. Finally we are getting out first look at Break and The Hunter. Hit the Jump to check these trailers out. I Am Not A Hipster Ever wonder what it was like to try to make it into the music business without all the movie sparkle and happy endings. Well I am Not A Hipster takes a real hard look at a music artist who can’t come to terms with his mother’s death, which is just a bench mark to the path of self destruction.I AM NOT A HIPSTER (the movie) from Destin Daniel Cretton on Vimeo.Iron Sky We haven’t heard too much about the movie since our last update, which was May of 2011. The movie has yet to find a distributor, but a new trailer could be the key to obtaining one. Hopefully cinematic enthusiasts appreciate the Grindhouse like qualities in this quasi-history film with hints of sci-fi in it.Break Phone booths, dingy bathrooms, coffins, ATMS, and now the trunk of a car. What do these things have in common? They are all places where the protagonist found themselves trapped in the hands of the antagonist. Break seems to take the idea of Buried and combine them with elements of Speed and SAW. It seems like it could be a fun actioner. The movie stars Steven Dorff. The Hunter Premiering that the Toronto International Film Festival last year, The Hunter has debuted its first official trailer. The movie will follow a hunter (played by Willem Dafoe) who is seeking a Tasmanian Tiger. It may not be your typical survivalist flick, but it does pit man against nature.Mirror, Mirror Its widely known amongst the film community that Mirror, Mirror is the polar opposite of Snow White and the Huntsman. In true Tarsem Singh fashion, the movie has opted to focus on the visual instead of the hardcore action we’ve been seeing in the director’s work. BUt while it may have gotten a few hits for being too childish in the first trailer, the second trailer is some what of an upgrade. What did you think of this week’s trailers? Which was your favorite? The Hunter looks to be the most interesting of all these trailers. I like seeing Dafoe in a leading role, he is a capable actor
