Trailers Weekly: “God Bless America,” “Cold Light of Day,” “Get the Gringo,””The Hunger Games,” “Bullhead” Michael Lee, February 4, 2012December 27, 2012 Trailers Weekly is a feature in which we bring you the most popular and talked about trailers of the week. Sharing trailers is a classic viral practice, and trailers are still the most mainstream way for people to learn about movies. We got the first trailer for God Bless America, The Cold Light of Day, Get the Gringo, The Hunger Games, and Bullhead. Hit the jump to see them all.Bullhead The editing and lack of dialogue makes for a very compelling and very powerful trailer for Bullhead. The movie is an Oscar nominee for Best Foreign Film, and its pretty easy to see why it earned a nomination. The tension that the lead character has is enough to grasp anyone’s attention and does not let go until you are blue in the face. Hopefully the movie will make the rounds to my area because I am very interested to see Mattias Schoenaerts. Bullhead comes from Beligum God Bless America This movie takes on crazy dark look at how America is consumed by the evils of kardashian like reality shows, as seen on tv products, and its obsession to be like high profiled celebrities. While it can look hilarious at first, you have to know it is going to be very violent, and it could be very offensive to some. So if you don’t appreciate this sort of material, I suggest you scroll down. The Cold Light of Day This looks like a fun popcorn actioner. It has Henry Cavill in yet another pre-Man of Steel role. Could it determine how he preforms as the famed Superman? Probably not, but it should be fun to see him play along side Bruce Willis in this espionage actioner. Get the Gringo After sitting on the shelf and collecting dust for two years, Mel Gilbson’s newest action comedy has come into the light, and it kind of makes me wish it had stayed on the shelf, or at least be thrown into a bunker of never to be released movies. It seems like Gibson is trying to relive his glory days, and this unfunny and unenthusastic trailer does cry watch me, it just makes me want to cry. The Hunger Games We’ve been extenisvely covering the viral for The Hunger Games ever since we saw thecapitol.pn site launch last year. We are just about two months away from the movie’s release, and I just can’t wait to see how Gary Ross as adapated the Suzanne Collins novel of the same name. Will it live up to readers and blogger’s expectations. We will just have to find out. What did you think of this week’s trailers? Which was your favorite? Do you agree with the Internet buzz?
