Trailers Weekly: “The Baytown Disco”, “Magic Mike”, “Cosmopolis”, “High School”, and “The Five-Year Engagement” Michael Lee, April 21, 2012December 27, 2012 Trailers Weekly is a feature in which we bring you the most popular and talked about trailers of the week. Sharing trailers is a classic viral practice, and trailers are still the most mainstream way for people to learn about movies. Today we have trailers for The Baytown Disco, Magic Mike, Cosmopolis, High School, and Five-Year Engagement. Hit the jump to see them all.The Baytown Disco If you are a fan of slam-bang actioners, animated title pop ups, criminals doing good deeds, fast cars, Billy Bob Throton, and stripper assassins. Then The Baytown Disco is just the movie you have been looking for. The film has that 90s nostalgia feel to it and just looks like pure fun. Hopefully we there is a distributor out there that sees that the film has plenty of potential.Magic Mike If you are looking for an arousing good time, then you have to buy a ticket to see Channing Tatum strip in Magic Mike. Of course this is a story of a male stripper wanting more in life, but cannot escape it since the stripper life offers so much money. Steven Soderbergh directed this one, marking the second time the two have teamed up together for a project. Fun fact: Before Channing Tatum was an actor, he was a stripper. Cosmoplis Robert Pattinson should no longer be considered a dooey eyed swooning vampire, in fact you can call him a self-centered brooding bad-ass playboy thanks to Cosmopolis. Pattinson plays one of the richest billionaires in New York city, and all he wants is a air cut. All he is to do is have sex, get through a protest, escape the specter of the world. Strange premise. Well it comes from David Cronenberg, who’s bizarre mind seems to have been in hibernation for a while. High School If there was a drug that was ever so prevalent in a high school student’s life, it would have to be weed. And the best thing about it, Adrian Brody is the one who gets to distribute it. This is the second trailer for High School, which this theaters on June 1st. The Five-Year Engagement The new Nicholas Stollar comedy, The Five-Year Engagement opens in a week, and I gotta say, this is just one of the best romantic comedies of the year. So check out this red-band trailer and see why it is. The Five-Year Engagement: Restricted Trailer – watch more funny videos What did you think of this week’s trailers? Which was your favorite?
