Galifianakis And Ferrell Take To Facebook To Launch “The Campaign” Zach Oldenburg, May 7, 2012 One of this summers most anticipated comedies, “The Campaign”, has just launched a very interesting, very funny viral campaign, aimed to persuade viewers to choose their side before the films release. Hit the jump to see the first glimpse of the films lead contenders, played by Zach Galifianakis and Will Ferrell. Is this films cast not a match made in Heaven? If you don’t agree, then I think your opinion will surely be changed after you watch these two political campaigns, launched on two separate Facebook pages. Cam Brady, played by Will Ferrell: Marty Huggins, played by Zach Galifianakis: I’m very excited to see Galifianakis play what I can only assume is the film version of his infamous ‘twin brother’ character, with Ferrell playing a mix between Ricky Bobby and his George W. Bush impression. To view Cam Brady’s Facebook page, click here. To vote Marty Huggins, hit the link. The film, directed by Jay Roach (Meet The Parents, Austin Powers) follows the story of “two rival North Carolina politicians with presidential aspirations [that] tangle with one another”, with a release date of August 10th, 2012.
