Trailers Weekly: “Django Unchained”, “Resident Evil: Retribution”, “Pitch Perfect”, and “Magic Mike” Michael Lee, June 16, 2012December 27, 2012 Trailers Weekly is a feature in which we bring you the most popular and talked about trailers of the week. Sharing trailers is a classic viral practice, and trailers are still the most mainstream way for people to learn about movies. This week we got trailers for Django Unchained, Resident Evil: Retribution, Pitch Perfect, and Magic Mike. Django Unchained Last week I brought you the domestic trailer for Django Unchained, now I bring you the international one. This trailer is a couple of seconds shorter than the first one I posted, but there’s more footage to take a look at. We also know just how sadistic Calvin Candie (Leonardo DiCaprio) really is. Resident Evil: Retribution Its the fifth entry in the Resident Evil franchise, is there anything else to say? Pitch Perfect When Glee meets Bridesmaids, you get Pitch Perfect. I was a fan for the latter, but not so much the former. So while I recognize the comedy aspect of the film, I don’t know what to make of the singing portion, given I was never a fan of Glee to begin with.Magic Mike WIth hits like The Vow and 21 Jump Street already under his belt, Channing Tatum’s stock has been on the rise. If he can prove that he can really work it in Steven Soderbergh’s Magic Mike, then he would have accomplished what only a few could, a trifecta of hits in one single year. What did you think of this week’s trailers? Which was your favorite? Do you agree with the Internet buzz? Of course, every week there are a lot more trailers, teasers, TV spots, and clips that we can’t cover, so go to TrailerAddict.com to see your favorites. You can also download trailers in HD at Apple.com, or the new iTunes Movie Trailers App on your iPhone or iPad. A Neophyte’s Retrospective of The James Bond Film Series December 31, 2012December 31, 2012This year marked the 50th anniversary for the James Bond film series. Between Dr. No in 1962 and this November’s Skyfall, there have been twenty-three official movies (and one bastard child). I have never been a big fan of the series, but I really enjoyed the recent films with Daniel…Pages: 1 2 Read More
