Trailers Weekly: “Life of Pi,” “About Cherry,” “Cloud Atlas,” “Chasing Mavericks,” and “Silent Hill Revelation”

Michael Lee, July 28, 2012December 27, 2012

TrailersWeekly

Trailers Weekly is a feature in which we bring you the most popular and talked about trailers of the week. Sharing trailers is a classic viral practice, and trailers are still the most mainstream way for people to learn about movies. This week provided us with so many trailers, so of course we will include our favorite ones this week, which includes Life of Pi, About Cherry, Cloud Atlas, Chasing Mavericks, and Silent Hill Revelation. Hit the jump for more.

Life of Pi
Ang Lee’s adaptation of the best selling novel is finally coming to life. The film centers on a boy named Pi trying to survive on a boat with a Bengal Tiger. Life of Pi opens in this November.

About Cherry
A small indie film about porn and it stars James Franco, Heather Grahame, and Dev Patel. The film centers Ashley Hinshaw as Angelina, a young up and coming porn star who gets lost in the industry.

Cloud Atlas

Normally movie trailers are about 2 and a half minutes long, but since Cloud Atlas is literally unexplainable, there needed to be a five minute trailer. When it comes down to it, the film will be about the consequences we make and how it has an affect on the future.

Chasing Mavericks
Gerard Bulter’s latest film finds him teaching a young enthusiastic teenage how to shred some monstrous waves in a very short amount of time. Of course since its from Walden Media, its going to be family friendly, so the only thing that will be edgy are the waves.

Silent Hill Revelation
The sequel to the Silent Hill film is coming and if its successful, it could be turned into yet another tiresome horror film franchise. The film follows a young girl who must find her father and the truth that’s been hidden from her for so long.

What did you think of this week’s trailers? Which was your favorite? Do you agree with the Internet buzz? Of course, every week there are a lot more trailers, teasers, TV spots, and clips that we can’t cover, so go to TrailerAddict.com to see your favorites. You can also download trailers in HD at Apple.com, or the new iTunes Movie Trailers App on your iPhone or iPad.
