This week the trailers for Hansel & Gretel Witch Hunters, John Dies at the End, Struck By Lighting, Despicable Me 2, and Side Effects premiered. Hit the jump for more.Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters The newest trailer for Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters has even more sex, violence, and chessy dialogue than you can handle. Though Gemma Artetron and Jeremy Renner star in this twisted fairy due out in the dead weekend of January 18th, 2013, the film is sure to be a cult classic among cinephiles. John Dies at the End Drugs, death, and saving humanity. You will see all of that in this indie horror flick that made waves during this year’s Sundance Film Festival. Directed by Don Coscarelli the film stars Paul Giamatti, Chase Williamson, Rob Mayes, Clancy Brown, Glynn Turman, Doug Jones, and more. John Dies at the end opens on VOD this winter and in limited theaters in February. Struck By Lighting Glee star Chris Colfer makes his screenwriting and film debut with Struck By Lighting, a film about a boy who had been struck and killed by lighting and recounts the days of blackmailing his fellow classmates into writing for his literary magazine. The film also stars Rebel Wilson, Christina Hendricks, Sarah Hyland (Modern Family) Allison Janney and more. Directed by Brian Dannelly, the film opens in theaters on January 11.Despicable Me 2 Those little yellow oval shaped humanoids are back, and they are still causing the same mischief as they did before. However it looks like someone his kidnapping them with the help of… Aliens? Monsters? Despicable Me 2 features the voice cast of Steve Carell, Al Pacino, and more. The film opens in theaters on July 3, 2013. Side Effects Crime, drama, love, and the dangers of pharmaceutical drugs. Steven Soderbergh‘s film explores all of that while still trying to make a compelling message of the dangers of addiction. Side Effects stars Rooney Mara, Channing Tatum, Jude Law, and Catherine Zeta-Jones. The film opens in theaters on February 8, 2013. What did you think of this week’s trailers?
