HitRECord Kicks Off Tour and Makes Big Announcement Dan Koelsch, November 14, 2012 Editor’s Note: hitRECord is an online collaborative production company founded by actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt. The following is a review by friend of the site Jackie Tuttle of the first night of the organization’s “On the Road” Fall tour.I will not kick a fan girl in the shins… I will not kick a fan girl in the shins… I will NOT kick a fan girl in the shins. This is my mantra as I prepare for the opening night of HitRECord’s “On the Road” tour with none other than the lovely Joseph Gordon-Levitt. It’s kick-off night for the tour in Washington D.C., and surprisingly there are no fan girls. Instead, plenty of members from the HitRECord site and artists have come together to to celebrate. However, it wouldn’t be an opening night for HitRECord unless some serious recording and collaborating was taking place. A pleasant reminder tells us to turn all recording devices ON, and the night begins. This isn’t your typical show or concert. It transcends the realm of art being just being seen or felt. It becomes experienced! Sections of the show were dedicated to showing popular shorts, animations, and music from the site. Other sections were designed to inspire: Artists called on other artists to remix, join, and start new RECordings. These sections included things like a dance off party, voice over competition, and even a group chorus. It was also a wonderful night of news as Joe announced… wait for it… a HitRECord television show! This of course prompted even more buzz, excitement, and inspiration. Although the details were limited at best, one thing is for sure, HitRECord is becoming one of the best sites to use and contribute to if you’re an artist of any kind. Are you in Richmonda, VA… Ithica, NY… or Philadelphia, PA?
