Trailers Weekly: “Freeloaders”, “Warm Bodies”, “The Summit”, “Django Unchained”, & More Michael Lee, December 1, 2012 Trailers Weekly is a feature in which we bring you the most popular and talked about trailers of the week. Sharing trailers is a classic viral practice, and trailers are still the most mainstream way for people to learn about movies. This week provided us with some very exciting trailers. This week the trailers we have trailers for Freeloaders, The Summit, Django Unchained, Warm Bodies, and Glimpse Inside The Mind Of Charles Swan III. Hit the jump to see them all. Freeloaders Broken Lizard will reestablish is comedic name – something they shouldn’t have to do just because Super Troopers wasn’t a hit – with Freeloaders, a comedy about a couple of freeloaders who have to figure out what they can do to stay in a rock star’s mansion for free when he decides to sell his house. The film stars Olivia Munn, Jane Seymour, and Nat Faxon (Ben & Kate). Freeloaders opens in theaters on January 2013, but will be offered on VOD services this month. Django Unchained This isn’t really a trailer, it’s a gun show Wild West style. You know the story – Dr. King Schultz (Christoph Waltz) frees Django (Jamie Foxx) and together they collect bounties and journey across America to save Broomhilda, Django’s wife, from Calvin Candie (Leonardo DiCaprio). The final trailer doesn’t really show us much except that in addition to Quentin Tarantino‘s talent for writing great dialogue, there will be a lot of gunslingers in this movie. Django Unchained opens in theaters December 25th. The Summit The Summit is just one of the many films that will be a part of the annual Sundance Film Festival. The film takes a look at 24 climber’s quest to scale one of the world’s most dangerous mountains, 48 hours later only 13 come back. It appears the the Summit will have a combination of archive footage and some dramatization. No release date has been set, but will be sure to be on the look out for it. Warm Bodies Another trailer for Warm Bodies has hit the web. Nothing has really changed though, probably because of the film’s simple premise of a zombie (Nicholas Hoult) who begins to regain his consciousness after falling in love for a human being named Julie (Teresa Palmer). However, Julie’s father (John Malkovich) sees zombies as a threat. However there is a darker force lurking in the shadows that is a threat to both their kind. Warm Bodies opens in theaters on February 1st, 2013. Glimpse Inside The Mind Of Charles Swan III Charlie Sheen, Bill Murray, Jason Schwartzman, and Patricia Arquette star in this wacky comedy about a graphic designer (Sheen) whose break-up with his girlfriend (Katheryn Winnick) puts him into a pit of despair. This Roman Coppla film looks like it has elements of Spike Jonz, Michael Gondry, and Wes Anderson, with some input from Charlie Sheen himself. Glimpse Inside The Mind Of Charles Swan III opens in theaters on February 8th, 2013. What did you think of this week’s trailers? Which was your favorite? Do you agree with the Internet buzz?
