Trailers Weekly: “Burt Wonderstone”, “Star Trek Into Darkness”, “Pain & Gain”, “Great Gatsby”, & More Michael Lee, December 22, 2012 Trailers Weekly is a feature in which we bring you the most popular and talked about trailers of the week. Sharing trailers is a classic viral practice, and trailers are still the most mainstream way for people to learn about movies. This week provided us with some very exciting trailers. With 2012 coming to a close, studios are releasing some thrilling trailers for their upcoming tentpoles. This week we have trailers for Star Trek Into Darkness, Pain & Gain, Great Gatsby, To The Wonder, and Burt Wonderstone. Hit the jump to see them all, and come back next week for my top ten trailers of the year.Star Trek Into Darkness The highly anticipated sequel as already got everyone wrapped around it’s finger thanks to the magic of mystery created by J.J. Abrams. The entire Enterprise comes back to reprise their roles as they face a threat unlike any other. This time Benedict Cumberbatch plays as the villain with no name, which sounds pretty cool now that I say it. To The Wonder Terrance Malicks newest directorial feature centers on a man (Ben Affleck) who recently separated from his wife and reconnects his a childhood friend (Rachel McAdams) when he comes home to visit Oklahoma. Skyfall star Javier Bardem also stars as does Quantum of Solice star Olga Kurylenko. The film opens in theaters on April 13, 2013. Great Gatsby Another electric trailer for Baz Luhrmann’s Great Gatsby has hit the internet and despite the sudden scheduling change, the film still looks fantastic. Leonardo DiCaprio, Carey Mulligan, Tobey McGuire, and Joel Egerton Star. The film opens on May 10th, 2013. Burt Wonderstone To traditional inept magicians are about to be uprooted by some hot shot goth-like magician (Jim Carrey), and in order to save their Las Vegas act Burt Wonderstone seeks the help of his idol. Looks like a descent pic. Burt Wonderstone opens in theaters on March 15th, 2013. Pain & Gain Michael Bay’s passion project follows two muscle bound fitness trainers who want it to strike it rich by kidnapping one of Miami’s most shady businessman. The film also stars Mark Wahlberg Rebel Wilson, Ed Harris, Anthony Mackie, Rob Corddry, Ken Jeong, Tony Shalhoub and Kurt Angle, and Dwayne Johnson. The film opens on April 26th.This is the End Congratulations you made it to December 22nd and now you get a treat. Seth Rogen and James Franco introing a clip from their apocalyptic comedy This is the End, formally known ans Jay and Seth Versus the Apocalypse.
