Academy Awards Nominations Announced Dan Koelsch, January 10, 2013 Briefly: The nominations for the 85th Academy Awards were announced this morning, and while there weren’t too many surprises, I think the Academy mostly did well. I was glad to see Django Unchained nominated for Best Picture, but unfortunately the rumors of Skyfall joining the list did not come to fruition. See the full list on Oscars.com, and watch the ceremony on ABC on Sunday, February 24th, hosted by Seth MacFarlane. Let us know in the comments below which films you thought were snubbed, as well as who you think will win. News Academy Awardsawards
