Trailers Weekly: “End of Love”, “MUD”, “S-VHS”, “RED 2”, “Spring Breakers” & “kink” Michael Lee, January 19, 2013January 19, 2013 Trailers Weekly is a feature in which we bring you the most popular and talked about trailers of the week. Sharing trailers is a classic viral practice, and trailers are still the most mainstream way for people to learn about movies. It’s a brand new year and that means we are getting brand new trailers, so prepare to be excited for some very big films and a few indies too. This week we have trailers for End Of Love, MUD, S-VHS, RED 2, Spring Breakers kink. Hit the jump to see them all.End Of Love Mark Weber’s harrowing film about life and fatherhood. The film is a semi-biopic of his life as a single father and stars himself, his real-life son Issac Love, Michael Cera, Aubery Plaza, and Shannyn Sossamon. The End Of Love, looks to be one of those deeply personal and touching stories with some absolutely fantastic chemistry between real-life father and son. MUD Matthew McConaughey has a long list of interesting roles and the character he plays in MUD will be an extension of that list. The film follows an fugitive named Mud (McConaughey) who uses the help of two little boys to stay in hiding from the law. Tye Sheridan and Jacob Lofland play as the two young boys. MUD also stars Reese Witherspoon. MUD will open in theaters on April 26th, 2013. S-VHS Never would I have imagined seeing a sequel make its debut at Sundance, but it has, and it isn’t exactly the first time it has happened. Directors such as Eduardo Sanchez (Blair Witch Project) and Gareth Evans (The Raid) are attached to direct segments along with Jason Eisener (Hobo with a Shotgun), and Macabre director Timo Tjahjanto all contributed to helming segments that make up the film. Spring Breakers Tired of Vanessa Hudgens and Selena Gomez pigeonholing their careers with family-friendly roles, then you might want to have a look at Harmony Koine‘s Spring Breakers. The film features the two, along with Ashley Benson, Rachel Korine, as college students who want to celebrate spring break in true fashion but don’t have the money to do so. After robbing a local liquor store to acquire the necessary funds, they head to their destination, party it up, and get caught in the process. That is until a rapper named Alien (James Franco) bails them out and promises them that the party will continue on the condition they commit the same crimes. The film hits theaters March 22nd. RED 2 Bruce Willis has a problem. He hasn’t killed anyone in months. Willis, John Malkovich, Mary-Louise Parker, and Helen Mirren are all back and trying to stop all sorts of trouble while causing a lot of it as well. Wills’ character has a hit put out on him, and it’s up to the RED team to figure out who did it and put a stop to them. The film also co-stars Catherine Zeta-Jones, Byung Hun Lee, Brian Cox and Neal McDonough. Directed by Dean Parisot, RED 2 opens in theaters on August 2nd, 2013. kink This final trailer is NSFW, so if you don’t like BDSM or bondage of any sort, then don’t hit that play button. But if you are, just know that the film is produced by James Franco of all people, and it explores the world of BDSM and the people who create these videos for the infamous porn website kink.
