Minecraft is an amazing game that is so simple yet so complicated at the same time. The free-roaming online building game allows you to create entire worlds in surprising detail. Case in point, a group of players have gone to great lengths to recreate King’s Landing, the capital of Westeros from HBO’s hit television series Game of Thrones and George R. R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire. Get the details after the break.
Using a Minecraft Server, it took a group of over 100 builders, lead by Tech Lead Will Blew and Project Lead Jacob Granberry, more than 4 months to create King’s Landing. The efforts of the group got noticed recently because of a post on Reddit. They included a photo gallery and a link to their website, WesterosCraft.com, where you can learn more about the project and donate to help the cause. The group has created other components of Westeros as well, including Dragonstone, Harrenhal, Pyke, and more.
