Trailers Weekly: “Despicable Me 2”, “Turbo”, “Trance”, “Riddick” & More

TrailersWeekly

Trailers Weekly is a feature in which we bring you the most popular and talked about trailers of the week. Sharing trailers is a classic viral practice, and trailers are still the most mainstream way for people to learn about movies. This week we have trailers for Despicable Me 2, Turbo, Trance, The Place Beyond The Pines, and Riddick. Hit the jump to see them all.

Despicable Me 2
The first few trailers for Despicable Me 2 did not even focus on the plot for the film, instead it turned its attention to those yellow minions. Now the third trailer focuses on the plot aspect. Voiced by Steve Carell and Al Pacino, Despicable Me 2 is directed by Pierre Coffin and Chris Renaud and written by Ken Daurio and Cinco Paul, and opens in theaters on July 3.

Turbo
A tiny teaser for Turbo appeared last year. Now just four months away from release we are getting the second trailer for another DreamWorks animated film. Ryan Reynolds voices the snail with dreams of becoming the fastest thing in the world. The film opens in theaters on July 19.

Trance
The last few Trance trailers were pretty graphic and vulgar, but this latest green band tones it all down for all general audiences. James McAvoy, Roasio Dawson, and Vincent Cassel, star in this latest thriller from Danny Boyle. Trance opens in theaters on April 5.

The Place Beyond The Pines
One final trailer for Derek Cianfrance’s The Place Beyond The Pines has arrived online. The film follows two generations of families who are connected by crimes, political corruption, and immorality. Ryan Gosling and Bradley Cooper both star. The film opens in theaters March 30.

Riddck
Nine years after the last Riddick film hit theaters, we are finally getting a brand new trailer for the film Riddick. Yes that is it’s title, Riddick. Vin Diesel reprises his role as Riddick, who is stranded on a remote planet full out bounty hunters out for his head. The film opens in theaters on September 6

What did you think of this week’s trailers? Which was your favorite? Do you agree with the Internet buzz?
