Disengaged MovieViral’s very own Christopher Moore needs your help! DISENGAGED is the newest short film by director Christopher G. Moore and screenwriter Eryk Pruitt. The duo’s last effort was the immensely successful horror comedy, FOODIE, which went on to win 7 major awards at film festivals across the country. Their newest collaboration, DISENGAGED, tells the story of a determined young woman who faces the daunting task of taking care of her neighbors after a post-apocalyptic event leaves them frozen in place. This film could easily be an episode of The Twilight Zone or The Outer Limits and it was that sense of nostalgia that convinced Christopher to bring Eryk’s amazing and demented story to life. To help the Disengaged dream become fully realized, you’ll need to head over to their official IndieGogo site. Frank Acclaimed Irish director Lenny Abrahamson follows up his award-winning films Adam & Paul, Garage and What Richard Did with an offbeat comedy about a young wannabe musician, Jon (Domhnall Gleeson), who finds himself out of his depth when he joins an avant-garde pop band led by the mysterious and enigmatic Frank (Michael Fassbender), a musical genius who hides himself inside a large fake head, and his terrifying bandmate Clara (Maggie Gyllenhaal). Sin City: A Dame To Kill For Co-directors Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller reunite to bring Miller’s visually stunning “Sin City” graphic novels back to the screen in SIN CITY: A DAME TO KILL FOR. Weaving together two of Miller’s classic stories with new tales, the town’s most hard boiled citizens cross paths with some of its more reviled inhabitants. SIN CITY: A DAME TO KILL FOR is the follow up to Rodriguez and Miller’s 2005 groundbreaking film, FRANK MILLER’S SIN CITY. Only Lovers Left Alive Adam and Eve are vampires who have been lovers for centuries. Adam is a reclusive underground musician hiding out in the ruins of contemporary Detroit, despairs about human civilization’s decline, and worries about future survival. Eve, who is perhaps 3000 years old to Adam’s 500, takes a longer view of history and is more optimistic. She leaves her home in the ancient city of Tangier to come to his side. As blood has been tainted by the zombies (humans), the formerly immortal Adam and Eve must secure uncontaminated blood from hospitals or they will perish. Eve’s close friend, Elizabethan dramatist and unacknowledged author of Shakespeare’s plays-Christopher Marlowe, is now an elder vampire who provides Eve with hospital blood. Adam gets his supply from Dr. Watson, a skittish hematologist who provides safe blood at a price. Adam and Eve’s precarious footing is further threatened by the uninvited arrival of Eve’s carefree and uncontrollable little sister Ava. Unlike Adam and Eve, Ava hasn’t yet learned to tame her wilder instincts, and her recklessness concerns Adam. Only Lovers Left Alive stars Tilda Swinton, Tom Hiddleston, Juno Temple, and Anton Yelchin. opens on April 11. Annie Academy Award® nominee Quvenzhané Wallis (Beasts of the Southern Wild) stars as Annie, a young, happy foster kid who’s also tough enough to make her way on the streets of New York in 2014. Originally left by her parents as a baby with the promise that they’d be back for her someday, it’s been a hard knock life ever since with her mean foster mom Miss Hannigan (Cameron Diaz). But everything’s about to change when the hard-nosed tycoon and New York mayoral candidate Will Stacks (Jamie Foxx) – advised by his brilliant VP, Grace (Rose Byrne) and his shrewd and scheming campaign advisor, Guy (Bobby Cannavale) – makes a thinly-veiled campaign move and takes her in. Stacks believes he’s her guardian angel, but Annie’s self-assured nature and bright, sun-will-come-out-tomorrow outlook on life just might mean it’s the other way around. Which was your favorite?
