Graffiti Style “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” Posters Are Tagged On The Streets Of Los Angeles

Part of the art of marketing is based on how awesome your poster looks. Floating heads, back turned, poster drenched in colored hues, all of it are a staple of the contemporary movie poster. But since people have noticed just how dull some of these posters can be and just how awesome Mondo posters can be, so a slow change is occurring in the way we see these movie posters.

Paramount Pictures’ marketing machine has unveiled five brand new posters for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and the kind you would normally see being churned out by a studio. These posters have some artistic flair to them. Hit the jump to see five brand new posters

These new posters were discovered on streets of Los Angeles. The posters graffiti art and comic book flair are what separates themselves from other generic posters, but don’t think that means we won’t see those dull generic posters, they may still be a part of the big marketing plan.

The city needs heroes. Darkness has settled over New York City as Shredder and his evil Foot Clan have an iron grip on everything from the police to the politicians. The Turtles must work with fearless reporter April O’Neil (Megan Fox) and her wise-cracking cameraman Vern Fenwick (Will Arnett) to save the city and unravel Shredder’s diabolical plan. Based on the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Characters Created by PETER LAIRD and KEVIN EASTMAN with a Screenplay by JOSH APPELBAUM & ANDRÉ NEMEC and EVAN DAUGHERTY, Producer MICHAEL BAY (the blockbuster Transformers franchise) and director JONATHAN LIEBESMAN (Wrath of the Titans) bring Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, the popular franchise that has captivated audiences of all ages for decades, into the 21st century.

Directed by Jonathan Liebesman and produced by Michael Bay, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles opens in theaters on August 8.
