Abraham Lincoln and Michelangelo Team-Up in “The LEGO Movie” Special Feature

Caleb Hamilton, June 12, 2014June 12, 2014

history copsThe LEGO Movie was one of this year’s biggest surprise hits and it’s due to be released on Blu-Ray and DVD next Tuesday. We’ve got your first look at one of the hilarious special features from the home media release. Michelangelo, one of the world’s greatest artists, and Abraham Lincoln, one of the greatest U.S. Presidents are coming together to save history. Check out the (fake) trailer after the jump.

The trailer for History Cops is full of witty art and history puns used in a very cheesy fashion. The trailer itself is full of cheese, with high production value, but pretty crappy production. Will Forte returns to the role of Abraham Lincoln for this short.

Other special features on the home video release include:

  • Feature commentary
  • Batman: A True Artist
  • Michelangelo and Lincoln: History Cops
  • Enter the Ninjago
  • Bringing LEGO® to Life
  • “Everything is Awesome” Sing-Along
  • See it! Build it!
  • Stories from the Story Team
  • Fan-Made Films: Top Secret Submissions
  • Outtakes
  • Additional Promotional Content
  • Alleyway Test
  • Deleted Scenes

Written and directed by Phil Lord and Chris Miller, The LEGO Movie follows Emmet, an ordinary, rules-following, perfectly average LEGO minifigure who is mistakenly identified as the most extraordinary person and the key to saving the world. He is drafted into a fellowship of strangers on an epic quest to stop an evil tyrant, a journey for which Emmet is hopelessly and hilariously underprepared. The movie features the voices of Chris Pratt, Will Ferrell, Elizabeth Banks, Will Arnett, Nick Offerman, Alison Brie, Liam Neeson and Morgan Freeman.

You can own The LEGO Movie on Blu-ray/DVD Combo Pack on June 17th!

October 19, 2010
