‘Kingsman: The Secret Service’ Trailer: Colin Firth Let’s Off A Little Steam Michael Lee, September 23, 2014September 23, 2014 Though Spider-Man, X-Men, The Avengers, Batman, and Superman have all been major successful comic book movie adaptations, lesser known titles have proven to find similar box office gold. But not for Mark Millar comics. Wanted and Kick-Ass have all proven to be the kind of adaptations that audiences have been waiting for if they are already tired of the same old Marvel and DC ones. And now we are getting, the Matthew Vaughn-directed Kingsman: The Secret Service starring Colin Firth as an ultra-competent spy who recruits a talented kid with a streak for causing trouble. Think of the film has a witty, sleeker, and more comic book version of James Bond. Which is pretty cool I think, if it weren’t for the strange February release. Hit the jump to check the new trailer out. The new trailer, featuring a song from Iggy Azalea and Ellie Goulding, debuted last night on Fox’s Gotham. Written Jane Goldman & Matthew Vaughn, based upon the comic book by Mark Millar & Dave Gibbons, Kingsman: The Secret Service also stars Mark Strong, Michael Caine, Taron Egerton, and Samuel L. Jackson. It opens in theaters on February 13, 2015. Based upon the acclaimed comic book and directed by Matthew Vaughn (Kick Ass, X-Men First Class), Kingsman: The Secret Service tells the story of a super-secret spy organization that recruits an unrefined but promising street kid into the agency’s ultra-competitive training program just as a global threat emerges from a twisted tech genius.
