We all know that Bryan Mills (Liam Neeson) has a particular set of skills. We all know that he will use them whenever his family gets into trouble. But now, Taken 3 asks the questions: who protects the protector? Well I guess just by watching the trailer, no one does, at least not when your Bryan Mills.

Taken 3 has our hero of the last two Taken films on the run after he has been framed for a murder he did not commit. Forced to use his particular set of skills to keep himself one step ahead of the LAPD, CIA, and FBI, Mills is forced to find out who killed his wife and clear his name. Hit the jump to check out the first trailer for Tak3n, yes the “3” replaces the “e”.

So there really isn’t anything new to see here, considering that this Taken looks the same, only Mills is the one who is on the run, and now must protect his daughter from the thugs who killed his wife.

Also starring Maggie Grace, Famke Janssen and Forest Whitaker, Taken 3 opens in theaters on January 9, 2015.

Liam Neeson returns as ex-covert operative Bryan Mills, whose reconciliation with his ex-wife is tragically cut short when she is brutally murdered. Consumed with rage, and framed for the crime, he goes on the run to evade the relentless pursuit of the CIA, FBI and the police. For one last time, Mills must use his “particular set of skills,” to track down the real killers, exact his unique brand of justice, and protect the only thing that matters to him now – his daughter.
