Viral Fail: Knight and Day Behind The Scenes Video Dan Koelsch, May 13, 2010 The upcoming Knight and Day, an action comedy from 20th Century Fox, stars Tom Cruise as a spy who meets Cameron Diaz’s character on a blind date, then accidentally pulls her into his volatile world. Sounds like the perfect premise and cast, so this film doesn’t need any viral, right? Not according to Fox, as you’ll see in their viral video after the jump. An advertising firm sent us and other blogs a video that is supposedly a behind-the-scenes look at Diaz and Cruise horsing around during rehearsals, but as you’ll see below, it’s obviously fake and feels that way. Diaz surprisingly kicks Cruise hard, causing him to fly back into a table. The video looks to be made specifically to pass around, but outside the film news blogs, I really don’t see the average person feeling the need to share this with their family and friends. What do you think? Knight and Day, directed my James Mangold (3:10 to Yuma, Walk the Line) and written by Patrick O’Neill, opens June 25th. lol, like I said, outside of us film bloggers, it’s not going to spread. Our reach is only so big, so if that was the point, then it’s failed from the start.
