The Buzz: TIFF, Fast Five Plot Revealed, JJ Abrams Has A New TV Show, and More! Top StoriesThe Toronto Film Festival has been in full swing all week and you can see FusedFilm.com’s coverage of the largest North American festival and complete reviews of some of the most buzzed about movies, ranging from I’m Still Here, Black Swan, Blame, Buried and many more. Fused Film’s Karen Divorty is on site taking the festival head on. Another great bit of coverage is coming from out friends at FS.net and Alex Billington’s traditional coverage of the festival, which is always good. In other news, because its been a slow week in that department, Universal has released the official synopsis of Fast Five, the fifth film in the long running car/felon series with Vin Diesel, Paul Walker and Dwayne Johnson. The movie boasts our lovable band of ‘pimp my ride’ racers meeting up in Brazil on the run. There they fall into the clutches of a scrupulous business man while being hunted by a crazy lawman who always gets their man. There was a lot of TV news this week, such as the JJ Abrams Alcatraz project with Lost producer Eilzabeth Sarnoff, which got picked up by Fox TV. Also, Ryan Reynolds is producing a new comedy for NBC. The project he will produce is called Mayors of Casterbridge, which is described as ‘Old School meets Gran Torino‘. Craig Doyle will serve as the writer for the series. The series is from Warner Bros. Television and is produced by Reynolds’ Dark Trick Films.
